How do I add my salon, studio or clinic to Surrounders?
A salon, studio, clinic, gym or school gets a free page on Surrounders, added by a professional who works there. Open "For businesses" at the bottom of any page, tap "Add your business", start typing the business name and tap "Create" if it is not listed yet. Fill one form with 10 short sections, tap "Publish", and the page is live with your photos, opening hours and location, ready for the services your team offers there.
Step by step:
- Sign in with a professional account. Adding a new business needs one, and becoming a professional is free.
- Open "For businesses" in the footer and tap "Add your business", or open "My businesses" in the menu and then "Add or claim a business".
- Type the name. If the business is already on Surrounders, it shows up: you can ask to join it with "I work here" or claim it. If not, tap "Create" with your business name.
- Fill the form: "Your role" ("I own it" or "I work here"), "Business name", "What kind of business is it?", "What does it offer?", "Headline", "About the business", "Photos & logo", "Opening hours", "Details" (a phone or a website) and "Location".
- Tap "Publish". Until everything is filled, the button counts what is left, for example "Publish - 3 left". "Save as draft" keeps the page private, and "Preview" shows it the way clients will see it.
To publish, a page needs a cover photo and a logo, a headline of at least 10 characters, an About of at least 50, a main category, opening hours, a phone or a website, and the address.
Just published a service at your own place, with its address saved as Studio, Gym or Office? The screen after "Publish" then offers "Add your business page", which fills the form from that service: the type, the category, your working hours and the address.
If you own the business but do not take clients yourself, a professional on your team can add it with "I work here", and you then claim the page from any account.
Is a business page free? Do you take a commission?
Yes. Adding, publishing and keeping a business page on Surrounders costs nothing today, and Surrounders takes 0% commission on every booking made through it. Clients pay the professional in person for each service, in cash, by card or by bank transfer, whatever you agree. No money passes through Surrounders at any point, so there is nothing to deduct and no payout to wait for.
What the free page includes today:
- A public page for each location, with your photos, logo, About, opening hours, the address with a map and "Get directions".
- Every professional who works there, with the services they offer at that location, bookable online.
- The reviews those professionals got from clients who booked their services, with a combined rating.
- An invite link for your team, and each location's page in English, Greek and Russian.
- Page statistics for the last 30 days on the pro dashboard: page views, phone shown, website and directions taps.
The honest part about later: the "Pricing & Features" page shows planned prices, including a Business plan for teams from €79 a month. The same page says nothing is charged today and every feature is free for now. Some tools listed for that plan, such as one shared calendar for the whole team and staff roles, do not exist yet. What every plan on that page keeps is 0% commission on bookings.
How do I claim my business on Surrounders?
To claim a business page on Surrounders, open the page, tap "Claim this business" and give at least one proof: the registration or trade-name number, a company email, or a photo of the registration certificate. Then tap "Send for checking". A person on the Surrounders team checks the claim within 2 working days, and nothing on the page changes until then.
What to know before you send it:
- Any signed-in account can claim. You do not need a professional account to own and run a business page.
- One claim covers every location of the business.
- You can add a note in "Anything we should know (optional)", but a note alone is not proof.
- The certificate photo is kept private and deleted 90 days after the decision.
Follow the claim on "My businesses", under "Waiting for an answer": "Under review", then "Approved" or "Not approved" with the reason. Once approved, you own the page and run it from "Manage". A registration number or a certificate also gives the page the "Verified business" mark. A company email alone makes you the owner, without the mark. If someone else ran the page before you, they stay listed there as a professional.
If nobody owns the page yet and you have a professional account, the same button offers "Take over" instead. Confirm, and you own the page at once; it shows as not verified until Surrounders has checked the business.
Can't find the page? Every published business is listed on the businesses page of its town, and each professional who works there links to it from the "Works at" line on their profile.
Someone else claimed your business? You get a notice, the team checks both sides, nothing changes while they do, and you can send your own proof from "Manage" with "Send your evidence".
How do I add my staff to my business page?
Staff join a business page on Surrounders through your invite link. Open "Manage" on your business, go to "Professionals" and copy the link under "Invite by link". The link works for 90 days and for up to 50 people. Each person opens it, asks to join, and you approve them under "Waiting for your approval". They appear on the page once they offer a service at your location.
What each person on your team does:
- Opens your link and signs in with their email. Without a professional account, they tap "Become a Pro to join" (free, one form), and the link brings them back.
- Taps "Ask to join" with your business name. You get a notice and an email, then tap "Approve" or "Decline".
- Creates a service at your place: in the service form, they choose "At my location", then under "Service address" the row with your business, such as "At Glow Studio" followed by your town. Only services there show on your page. Someone with no service there is listed on your "Manage" screen only.
A professional who is already on Surrounders can also find your business by name through "For businesses" and "Add your business", and tap "I work here"; you approve that request the same way.
Good to know:
- The invite link appears once the page is published. "New link" stops the old one at once.
- Each professional keeps their own calendar, bookings, clients and reviews. You see who is listed, not their bookings.
- Only the owner runs the page. There are no manager or staff roles yet.
- "Remove" takes someone off the page; their own clients, bookings and reviews stay theirs. Anyone can also leave by themselves with "Leave".
- To give the whole business to someone on your team, use "Hand over" next to their name. They have 7 days to accept, and you stay listed.
Can clients book online through my business page?
Yes. A business page lists every service that takes place at that location, and clients can book any of them online at any hour. A client taps a service, picks a free time from the calendar of the professional who offers it, and sends a request; that professional confirms it. Clients book a service, not the business itself, and they pay in person, because Surrounders handles no payments.
How a booking from your page works:
- One-to-one services: the client sends a request at least 2 hours ahead, and the professional accepts or declines it. A request nobody answers expires after 48 hours.
- Classes and workshops set up as group sessions: a spot is confirmed at once, with no waiting. A group session is listed while it has an upcoming date.
- The free times come from each professional's own working hours in "Availability", not from the opening hours on your page. Keep both in step, so clients never see a time the door is closed.
- The booking, its reminders and the chat belong to the professional who gives the service. Payment is settled between that professional and the client, in cash, by card or by transfer.
What is not there yet, so you can plan around it:
- No shared calendar for the whole team. Each professional runs their own calendar and bookings, and the owner does not see them.
- No "any free professional" booking. A client always books a service from one named person.
- No online payment, deposits or card holds.
The page also shows the phone number and website of a verified business, so clients who prefer to call still can.
What does my business page show to clients?
A business page on Surrounders shows clients your photos and logo, your headline and About, the opening hours with a live "Open" or "Closed" status, the address with a map and "Get directions", the services booked at that location, "Our professionals", and their reviews with a combined rating. The phone number and website appear once the business is verified.
From top to bottom, a client sees:
- Photos and logo. A cover photo plus up to 30 more of the place, and your logo beside the name, the type of business and the town.
- What you offer. Your categories as tags, "About" your business, and up to 12 ticked "Features", such as Wheelchair accessible or Parking.
- Opening hours for each day, in local time, with today in bold.
- "Services": only the services that take place at this location, with prices, in tabs by category.
- "Our professionals": everyone with at least one service there.
- "Where to find us": the street and a map, with one tab per location when you have several.
- "Reviews": a business has no reviews of its own. The page shows what clients wrote about the professionals listed there after booking their services, with one combined rating.
- "Similar places nearby": other businesses with the same main category in your town.
Languages: every page has an English, a Greek and a Russian version. The buttons, labels, category and feature names switch to the reader's language; your headline and About show the way you wrote them.
What clients never see: people waiting to join, and your page statistics, which only you see on the dashboard. "Show phone number" reveals a verified business's number only after a tap.
How do clients find my business on Surrounders?
Clients find a business page on Surrounders in 5 ways: Google and AI assistants, which can read every published page in English, Greek and Russian; the businesses page of each town; the "Works at" line on your professionals' profiles; "Similar places nearby" on other business pages; and the link and QR code you share yourself. Nobody can pay for a better place in any of them.
Each way in, in more detail:
- Search engines and AI answers. Every published location page is listed for search engines, with its name, address, opening hours and categories in a form Google and AI tools read directly. A draft is never listed.
- Town and category pages. Each town with a business has its own businesses page ("Businesses in" and the town's name), split by type, such as salons or gyms, once a town has more than one type. Town pages link to it from a "Businesses in" strip, and a town's page for a category you offer lists you under "Places offering" it.
- Your team's profiles. Each professional with a service at your location shows "Works at" with your business name.
- Other business pages. "Similar places nearby" shows businesses with the same main category in the same town.
- Your own sharing. "Share" and "Show QR code" on the page, and "Share page" right after you publish. A printed QR code at the front desk lets walk-in clients book their next visit online.
What helps most: a complete page with real photos, a clear About, the right main category and features, and professionals who have services at your location. Verification adds your phone and website to the page.
To see what works, open the pro dashboard: "Your business" shows the last 30 days of page views, phone shown, website and directions taps.
What does the Verified business mark mean?
The "Verified business" mark means the Surrounders team has checked the business behind the page. Verification also switches on your contact details: a business page shows its phone number and website only once the business is verified. Until then the page works as normal, with its photos, address, opening hours, services and professionals, and "My businesses" shows "Waiting for review" next to it.
How a page gets the mark:
- The Surrounders team reviews every published business page that is not verified yet.
- A claim approved with a registration or trade-name number, or with a photo of the registration certificate, verifies the page at the same moment. A claim with only a company email makes you the owner without the mark.
- Handing the business over to someone on your team keeps the mark.
Where clients see it: a small "Verified business" tag next to the name on the page, and a green check next to the name in lists.
What the mark does not mean: it is about the business, not a rating of anyone's work. For the quality of the work, clients read the reviews, which only clients who booked a service can write, once the session has ended.
While you wait, you can edit everything on the page. Questions about the review go to support@surrounders.com.
Can I hide my business address?
No. Every business location on Surrounders shows its street address, an exact pin on the map and "Get directions", because clients need to find the door of a salon, studio or clinic. There is no setting to hide it. Only the Surrounders team hides a street, after a privacy complaint; the page then shows the town and area with "Approximate area" and a rough spot on the map.
If you work from home, do not add your home as a business location. Offer your services from your own address instead: for a service "At my location", clients browsing see only your general area, and the exact address goes only to a client whose booking you have confirmed.
If a business page shows your home, or a page about you that you never made, scroll to the bottom of it and use "Is this page about you and you want it removed? Tell us.", or write to support@surrounders.com.
Good to know about the address:
- "Change street" moves a location within the same town, and the professionals who work there get the new address too.
- A location cannot move to another town. Add the new location first, then close the old one.
- When the team has hidden a street, people can still book the services there, and a client gets the address once their booking is confirmed.
Can one business have several locations or branches?
Yes. One business on Surrounders can have several locations, and each one gets its own page with its own address, map, phone and opening hours, all under one name, logo and owner. Add a branch from "My businesses": tap "Manage", go to "Locations" and tap "Add a location". On every page, "Where to find us" shows all your branches, so clients can switch to the nearest one.
Adding a location:
- Under "Address", pick "New address" or one of your saved addresses.
- Add a phone for this location if it has its own. Without one, the page shows the business phone.
- Switch on "Branch name" and name it, for example "Old Town" or "Marina". Two locations in the same town must each have a name, so clients can tell them apart.
- Set the hours: "Same hours as the business" is on by default. Turn it off to give this location its own week.
- Tap "Add location".
How branches work:
- Each location's page lists only the services that take place there, and only the professionals who have a service there. Someone who works at two branches creates a service for each.
- Each location appears on the businesses page of its own town.
- "Change street" moves a location within its town. A location cannot move to another town: add the new one, then close the old one.
- "Close" takes a branch out of search, and its page says "This location has closed". "Reopen" brings it back. The last open location cannot be closed.
- One claim, one owner and one verification cover every location.
How do I edit or remove my business page?
Edit a business page on Surrounders from "My businesses": tap "Manage", change what you need and tap "Save changes". Photos and the logo save the moment you add or remove them. To take the page off Surrounders, tap "Remove" on its card in "My businesses" and confirm. The public page shows your changes within a few minutes.
What you can change on "Manage":
- The name and the type of business.
- "What does it offer?", the "Headline" (up to 80 characters) and "About the business".
- "Photos & logo", "Opening hours", the phone and the website.
- "Locations" and "Professionals", which save on their own.
A published page keeps its essentials. You can replace the cover photo, headline, About, contact or opening hours, but not leave them empty; the screen says what is missing under "To save, finish".
There is no way to hide or unpublish a page. A draft stays private until you publish it; once published, a page is public until you remove it.
What "Remove" does:
- The page, the search listings and the business in everyone's "My businesses" go away.
- The professionals who worked there keep their own clients, bookings and services, and get their copy of the address back as their own.
- Only the owner can remove a business, and not while a claim on it is being checked.
- Removed by mistake? Write to support@surrounders.com: the team can bring the page back with the same links and people.
Closing a single branch is different: use "Close" on that location under "Locations". To pass the whole business to someone on your team instead, tap "Hand over" next to their name under "Professionals"; they have 7 days to accept.
While someone's claim on your business is being checked, the name and website are locked and the business cannot be handed over or removed. Everything else stays editable.
