Delete your Surrounders account
You can delete your account yourself, in the Surrounders app or on the website. It happens straight away and cannot be undone.
In the app

- Scroll down to Privacy and tap Delete account.
- Type DELETE and tap Confirm.
On the website
- Sign in at surrounders.com and open your profile.
- Scroll down to Privacy and tap Delete account.
- Type DELETE and tap Confirm.
If you cannot sign in
Write to privacy@surrounders.com from the email address on your account and ask us to delete it. We confirm it is you and delete the account within 30 days.
What is deleted
- Your name, email address, phone number and photo
- Your Google, Apple and Telegram sign-in links
- The notification registrations of your phones
- Your time zone, your saved searches, your calendar busy times and connected phones
- The street, postcode and exact location of your addresses (only the town is kept, so a past booking still reads sensibly)
- Your contact details in professionals' client records
- Your upcoming bookings and repeating bookings are cancelled, and the other person is told
- If you are a professional, your public page and services are taken down, and your page address is never given to anyone else
What is kept, and why
- Past bookings, reviews and messages stay, so the other person keeps their own record. They show "Deleted User", with no name, contact details or photo.
- Our encrypted backups keep a copy for up to 30 days, after which it is gone.
- Records the law requires us to keep, for as long as it requires.
If you agreed to analytics cookies on the website, usage statistics already sent to our analytics services are not removed by this step. Write to privacy@surrounders.com and we will ask them to delete it.
Afterwards
You can sign up again with the same email address at any time. It starts a new, empty account; nothing from the old one comes back.
