How to run a class, a course or a one-off event
Every class, course or one-off event on Surrounders is a Group Session: choose Group Session in Create a Service, then Repeated dates for a regular class or Specific dates for a course or a single event.
People book a spot on each date and can book several dates in one go, and there is no separate sign-up for a whole course.
Which one to choose
Which settings fit what you run?
Two choices decide it: the Format, and for a Group Session, its Dates.

Set up a group session
How do you set up a group session?
In Create a Service, in the order the form asks:
- Format: Group SessionIt cannot change later.
- LocationAt my location or Online, one place for every date.
- Title, description, category, photos, what you offerAs for any service.
- Price per person, per sessionAnd how long each date lasts.
- PeopleMinimum (optional) and Maximum, from 2 to 200.
- DatesRepeated, or Specific dates: tap the dates on the calendar. Then Publish.
A course of set dates
How do people book a whole course?
Say in the description that the course is all the dates. People tap several dates and book them in one go; each date stays its own spot and can be cancelled on its own.
There is no separate sign-up for a whole course.
Changing the dates
Move this date until 2 hours before it starts, or Cancel this date, from Who's coming. Stop repeating is on My services. Each person who booked is told once; people you added yourself are not messaged.
